The Five-Minute Journal...the toothbrush for your mind!

A few months ago, I checked out Mimi and Alex Ikonns Vlog on youtube.

I watched how they were talking about the 5-Minute Journal, a super efficient and fun way to make yourself more aware about all the wonderful things you have in your life.

So I decided to download the app and to try it out myself...and I am absolutely amazed!

So how does this 5-Minute Journal work?

As the name already reveals, it only takes you about 5 minutes to fill out your daily entry.

In the morning, you are greeted with a wisely chosen quote. Then you have the opportunity to write down 3 things that you are grateful for.

Besides that, you also have to think of 3 things, that will make your day a great one.

And it does not have to be anything out of the extraordinary: a simple thing like "give someone a compliment" is just great.

Hence, you are given the chance to start your day with a positive feeling.

The second time you get to fill out your journal is in the evening (I usually do this before going to bed). First you have to reflect on 3 amazing things that happened on this day, before asking yourself how you could have made this day even better.

I personally absolutely love the fact, that this journal automatically makes you focus on the positive things in the morning, as well as in the evening.

Usually people tend to only think about the negative experiences they had during the day. By filling out the journal, you will actively think of the positive aspects instead.
